William Perry Winery is looking to add a critical role to their team; a Lead Hospitality & Tasting Room Associate.

We are looking for an experienced hospitality professional to help lead the guest experience at our Rutherford tasting room. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with winery experience, strong sales ability, and a natural sense of hospitality.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys connecting with guests, building relationships, and driving wine sales.

Key Responsibilities
-Host engaging tastings and vineyard experiences
-Drive direct-to-consumer wine sales and wine club memberships
-Assist with daily tasting room operations and reservations
-Help maintain a polished and welcoming tasting room environment
-Support wine club shipments, inventory, and fulfillment
-Serve as a reliable point person during busy service periods

Wine Education & Training
-Lead structured wine education for the tasting room team.
-Train new tasting room team members on wine knowledge and guest experiences.
-Collaborate with leadership to develop educational programming and experiences.
-Encourage continuous learning and curiosity about wine among the team.

Expectations
-Lead by example in hospitality, professionalism, and accountability.
-Be approachable and supportive for teammates seeking assistance or guidance.
-Gently delegate tasks and maintain awareness of service flow.
-Attend weekly lead alignment meetings and communicate operational updates to the team.
-Be the last team member to clock out after confirming all closing tasks are completed.

Qualifications
-Has prior tasting room or winery hospitality experience
-Is confident speaking about wine and Napa Valley
-Is organized, proactive, and dependable
-Thrives in a sales-driven hospitality environment
-Can take initiative and help improve operations
-Strong attention to detail and accountability
-Ability to work weekends and some holidays
-Ability to lift 40 lbs and remain standing for extended periods
-Experience with Comm7 a plus
