Position Summary:
This position will work closely with the Marketing team and Head of Communications to concept, design and manage marketing materials for the portfolio of wines, primarily in the wholesale sector of the business. The role is highly hands-on, ensuring brand strategy and narrative is strongly written with visual storytelling across point-of-sale materials, presentations, websites, sponsorships and other marketing campaigns as intended. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker and strong executor who can manage projects end-to-end and collaborate in a small, nimble team environment. Strong time management along with flexibility will go a long way in the position. This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing.

Core Responsibilities:
Brand & Visual Storytelling
•  Partner closely with the Head of Communications and Marketing team to help evolve and refine brand stories for the portfolio
•  Contribute original ideas for how stories come to life visually across formats
•  Maintain a consistent visual and brand voice while adapting to different audiences and channels

Design & Creation of Marketing Materials
•  Lead creative concepting and visual direction for major marketing initiatives once set, including POS materials, in-store displays, seasonal programs, and campaign assets
•  Translate high-level brand and narrative strategy into clear visual approaches that can be executed consistently across formats
•  Support execution of detailed design, production files and logistics
•  Assist in design of high-impact assets (e.g., key presentations and POS)
•  Review and refine designs to ensure clarity, quality, and brand consistency before ownership approval
•  Stay current on design, branding, and visual storytelling trends relevant to wine and lifestyle brands

Project Ownership & Management
•  Manage daily an additional marketing team of two reviewing individual project worklist and guide priorities based on need date for all requests received
•  Own marketing and design projects from approved concept through final delivery while ensuring timelines are met
•  Set priorities for POS, in-store displays, ads, coupons and other retail assets
•  Oversee production workflows, including:
- Reviewing production approaches and materials
- Evaluating timelines and feasibility
- Ensuring readiness for market
•  Help manage limited external vendors (e.g., production partners for POS materials)
•  Work with Head of Communications contributing ideas for new marketing opportunities; assisting with planning or execution of projects that extend beyond core design focus including winery retail DTC communications

Website Design & Digital Execution
•  Play a leading role in website design and visual evolution for individual brands
•  Execute website update directives from Head of Communications such as the addition of new wines, brand updates or shifts
•  Review websites for needed updates and notify Head of Communications
•  Working familiarity with WordPress (or similar CMS) required

Asset Management
•  Take lead role to select and maintain Asset Management System with current files and restructure as needed with Head of Communications
•  Identify opportunities to refresh or evolve existing assets to expand impact

Required Qualifications:
•  Strong design background with demonstrated ability to translate brand strategy into visual concepts and finished work
•  Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop (required); Lightroom a plus
•  Highly skilled in PowerPoint with ability to take innovative approach to visual presentations
•  Experience designing for both print and digital environments
•  Strong project management, organizational skills and ownership mindset, plus comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities
•  Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with team
•  Experience in wine, spirits, food or lifestyle brands strongly preferred; 3+ years of relevant experience required
•  This is a flex role, with mainly on-site interaction operating both within the team and with senior leaders. Must reside within 1 hour of office location in Rutherford, California

Physical Requirements:
•  Operate a desktop computer using keyboard and mouse, employing repetitive arm and wrist motions
•  Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items
•  Specific vision abilities require close and distance vision
•  Sit and stand for long periods of time
•  Occasionally bend, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch or climb
•  Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
