Outpost Wines is hiring 3 interns to join our small production team for the 2026 harvest season. Outpost is located on Howell Mountain in Angwin, CA. We produce high end Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Grenache, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

The internship will run approximately from mid-September through mid-November, with one position starting in May.

There is potential for one intern to be hired full time at the end of harvest, this opportunity will depend on performance.

Our crush pad is outside with no roof, and we work hard in all types of weather.

The day to day schedule for this position is variable and will depend on workload, performance and attitude. During the peak of harvest, there may be times when the interns are expected to work outside 6 days per week, and up to 14 hours per day. There will also be times throughout the season where the hours are shorter and there are multiple days off.

Job Duties:
- Cleaning and sanitizing tanks
- Emptying and scrubbing drains
- Pressure washing floors
- Pressure washing and sanitizing macro bins
- Pressure washing and sanitizing crush equipment
- Processing Fruit: Emptying sticky buckets, monitoring and moving stem bins, raking fruit, hand sorting, tidying
- Digging out tanks
- General winery/facility cleaning

Depending on proven capabilities, winemaking and vineyard duties may be assigned as well.

Job Requirements:
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Must be fluent in verbal and written English
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the winery
- Must have previous work experience- Wine production experience is preferred but experience in other high intensity or physically demanding fields will be accepted
- Must be able to follow instructions, must be able to learn
- Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends for the duration of the internship (no vacations, no taking time off)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is mostly on their feet and walking
- Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, squat, push and climb
- Must be able to lift and carry 60 lbs
- Must be able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions (hot sun, cold rain, wind)
- This is a high intensity and fast paced production environment. Employees may be exposed to loud noises, bees/hornets, and humbling experiences
