We are seeking an enthusiastic part-time Wine Ambassador to be an important part of our Direct to Consumer (DTC) team in Napa Valley, CA.

The ideal candidate will be hospitality driven hosting our guests at our multiple hospitality tasting locations throughout Napa and Sonoma creating an authentic experience showcasing our Bordeaux and Burgundian varietals. With a “less is more” philosophy, we believe in providing one-on-one, technicolor hospitality experiences tailored to each group that leave lasting impressions with our members and guests. We are looking for someone who can be a wonderful ambassador of our brand to help continually drive organic, strategic business to our Tasting Room and grow our Society membership to The Setting Wines.

In addition to hosting tasting experiences, this role will also be responsible in assisting with building and cultivating key relationships with industry partners. This person must enjoy being immersed into the community to establish genuine connections with wineries, hotels, restaurants and tour companies. In addition, you will work closely with our VP of DTC Sales and Marketing to drive quality business to our wine brand. You will work together to provide memorable wine experiences that leave a lasting impression and organically build our visitation through meaningful connections.

Roles and Responsibilities Include:

- Host members + guests for by-appointment hospitality experiences – must have innate ability to connect and build relationships while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Assist in the planning and execution of events and luxury hospitality experiences.
- Build relationships and referral partnerships with local wineries, drivers, hotels, restaurants, etc. – must have a “high tide lifts all boats” mentality supportive of the community.
- Attend and represent The Setting Wines at local events that help drive qualified traffic to the Tasting Room. There will also be opportunities to travel to various wine events throughout the country on an as-needed basis.
- Host Society member wine dinners and off-site events on occasion to help drive additional revenue and membership sign-ups outside of the Tasting Room.
- Assist in business development within community to create quality referral partnerships.
- Curate itineraries and recommendation lists for our Society members to send traffic to like-minded establishments to enhance their experience.
- Print tasting room collateral, menus, and restock tasting room supplies as needed.
- Responsible for monthly inventory management reporting to accounting and coordination of wine ordering from our warehouse.
- Assistance with our Society membership communications and logistics.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant luxury Hospitality experience.
- Ability to provide impeccable customer service to our guests and a genuine love for connecting, building and nurturing relationships.
- Must speak comfortably to people with poise and confidence.
- Must be nimble with great intuition and able to make mindful decisions to exceed member + guest expectations.
- Communicate actively with other departments to maintain a positive and productive working environment.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must have a true passion for luxury experiences (wine knowledge and certification is a plus).
- Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and Winery POS systems (knowledge of Commerce 7, Tock and RedChirp is a plus).
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong ability to anticipate and prioritize conflicting needs and apply sense of urgency while maintaining a calm and collected attitude.
- Must be extremely self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Warm, friendly and gracious personality.
- Ability to work well in a small team environment.
- Strong ability to follow up and follow through in a timely fashion.
- Candidates must be 21 years or older, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- This position will include weekend shifts and occasional evenings and events.

We are looking for someone 15-25 hours a week as needed; flexible schedule.
