Position Summary: The Shipping/Receiving & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, counting and recording of all incoming and outgoing shipments and provides support to the Distribution and Purchasing departments.
Schedule: 4/10 Alternative Workweek - Mon-Thur 10-hour days - Typical hours 7:00 am to 5:00 pm but may vary
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Loads and/or unloads client shipments, double checking counts and SKUs for accuracy.
• Receives daily all inbound dry goods shipments, counts accurately, and receives into business central software.
• Works directly with the Material Buyer to reconcile daily usage and inventory scrap counts.
• Key participant in the annual dry goods and bulk inventory counts: prints tags, enters counts, helps research flagged inventory discrepancies.
• Check in and Pull samples for clients and make sure BOL’s match the wines that are delivered. Palletize and double check finished orders before they ship.
• Track shipping materials and requests reorders when necessary.
• Maintains inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliations
• Processes damages and rework projects assigned.
• Manage and organize warehouse space and inventory locations to optimize storage area.
• Daily Correspondence via email and use of Word & Excel to perform tasks.
• Drives company vehicles to deliver and pick up orders at various locations.
• Assists with supervision of temporary workers, including scheduling, training, and timecard review.
• Assists with other distribution and purchasing tasks as requested.
• Actively abides by all HACCP and ISO programs as part of SB compliance.
Secondary Duties:
• Provides support to Production Lines when needed and if time permits.
• Over sticker bottles and apply outer case labels, palletize, and wrap pallets.
Education/Experience/Skills/Attributes:
• Prior warehouse experience is required
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• 2-3 years winery S&R and inventory control experience.
• Computer experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and other web-based systems.
• Experience with Forklift, clamp lifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other standard warehouse equipment required.
• Attention to detail, time management and organization skills
• Dependable, punctual and a good communicator
• Ability to work well both independently and as a team
• Ability to handle a demanding workload, tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities at once.
• Ability to maintain productivity and composure under pressure.
Requirements:
• Requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 40 pounds of force frequently.
• Requires ability to walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.
• Requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all applicable laws; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under SB’s insurance policy.
