GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

We are seeking a strategic and operationally minded Business Development Executive to drive growth across our integrated wine services platform. This is not a traditional bottle-sales role; instead, you will be selling the "backbone" of the industry.
You will be responsible for securing partnerships with wine brands and corporations looking for high-tier manufacturing services, supply chain management, 3PL fulfillment, and Shopify-integrated e-commerce solutions.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Supply Chain & 3PL:

- Identify and close partnerships with wineries and spirits brands requiring 3PL warehousing, temperature-controlled storage, and national shipping solutions.

- Lead business development for complex logistics projects, including multi-partner supply chain integrations.

- Consult with clients on optimizing their fulfillment costs and regional distribution strategies.

*Shopify & E-commerce Integration

- Target wine brands looking to scale their Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) presence through Shopify.

- Sell the value of our integrated technology stack, showing how our fulfillment and shipping systems bridge the gap between Shopify orders and final delivery.


* Corporate Sales & Brand Provisioning

- Identify and secure high-volume B2B corporate accounts (e.g., hotel chains, airlines, luxury retail groups, and tech firms).

- Lead the "Private Label" sales process, helping corporate clients develop and provision bespoke wine brands tailored to their identity.

- Manage end-of-end contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for volume, pricing, and long-term supply.

* Manufacturing & Import growth

- Forge partnerships with regional growers and production facilities to scale manufacturing capabilities.

- Identify international wineries for importation opportunities, diversifying the portfolio with high-demand varietals from global regions.

- Collaborate with winemaking teams to ensure product profiles align with current market trends and corporate client demands.

- Strategic Networking & Market Intelligence

- Leverage your presence in Napa Valley to maintain a deep network of industry stakeholders, including distributors, brokers, and bulk wine providers.

- Analyze market data to identify "white spaces" in the industry for new product launches or import categories.

- Represent the company at key trade shows, industry symposiums, and Napa Valley Vintners events.

*Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing and delivery teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction.



REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 5+ years in Business Development or Account Management within the Wine Supply Chain, Logistics, or Wine Tech sectors.

- Technical Proficiency: * Advanced knowledge of Shopify (from a merchant or fulfillment perspective).

- Familiarity with 3PL software, ERPs and shipping compliance tools

- Napa Valley Expertise: A deep understanding of the local "Crush" culture and established connections within the Napa/Sonoma winery network.

* Communication:
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to pivot between technical "cellar talk" and executive-level corporate presentations.

- Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Napa Valley/Sonoma area to facilitate frequent in-person partner meetings.

- Outstanding verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills tailored to engaging with top-level executives and organizational leaders.

- Capacity to excel in fast-paced, transformative business environments while managing competing priorities.

- Demonstrated financial acumen with the ability to interpret and act on financial reports and metrics.

- Advanced technical proficiency, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com.

- Expertise in influencing and driving decisions at the C-suite level to secure business growth.

- Comprehensive knowledge of sales revenue models, ensuring sustained regional profitability through strategic pipeline management.

- Proficient in advanced Excel, leveraging data to create persuasive economic presentations that resonate with clients.
