Director of Sales and Marketing
Location: Marciano Estate
Reports to: General Manager
Marciano Estate is seeking a driven, polished, and personable Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the growth of our direct-to-consumer business, build meaningful partnerships, and help share the story of our estate with guests around the world.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on increasing sales, elevating the guest experience, and strengthening our brand presence. We believe sales success is built on genuine relationships, warm hospitality, and a clear vision for growth.
Some travel is required — and because the best moments often happen when guests are here, flexibility to work weekends and key events is essential.
What You’ll Do
Drive Sales Growth
• Lead direct-to-consumer sales strategies with clear revenue goals and a strong emphasis on relationship-driven selling.
• Build and maintain partnerships with top hotels, drivers, concierges, and aligned wineries to ensure steady referral traffic.
• Oversee all aspects of the tasting room and hospitality calendar to optimize guest flow and maximize sales opportunities.
• Ensure a seamless and positive guest journey — from first contact to follow-up — that encourages repeat visits and loyal customers.
Strengthen the Brand
• Share the Marciano family story in a way that inspires and connects, highlighting our commitment to quality, responsible farming, and genuine hospitality.
• Create and execute engaging on-site and off-site marketing campaigns that build awareness and excitement around the estate.
• Host and support trade visits, private tastings, dinners, and other events that expand our reach and deepen guest relationships.
Use Strategy and Insights to Grow
• Develop sales forecasts and track performance monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Use data to identify opportunities, refine strategies, and ensure we’re always moving toward our goals.
• Collaborate with leadership to shape both immediate priorities and long-term growth strategies.
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in sales and marketing, ideally in wine, hospitality, or luxury lifestyle.
• A strong understanding of direct-to-consumer sales and how to build lasting customer relationships.
• Experience with using Enolytics as a sales and marketing tool
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a warm, professional presence.
• Proficiency in Excel and sales analytics: Ability to develop and manage performance tracking documents, analyze sales data, and generate actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
• A proactive, goal-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays, and flexibility to work weekends during busy seasons and special events.
