DTC and Winery Brand Engagement Specialist

This role is ideal for someone who is both a relationship-driven storyteller and an organized, proactive marketer. You’ll serve as a key bridge between our winery brands and their direct consumers by engaging customers online, via email and phone outreach, and occasionally in person at our Yountville tasting lounge, The Yount Room. You may also represent our wineries at national consumer and trade events, bringing these remarkable wines and stories to life for new audiences.

About the Role:
Direct-to-Consumer Engagement-
Engage directly with customers through outbound and inbound communications (phone, email, and digital channels) to drive sales and club signups, build lasting relationships, and strengthen brand loyalty.
Sell across multiple winery brands, introducing customers to the broader Assemblage Retail Group portfolio and identifying opportunities for cross-selling and brand discovery.
Manage customer inquiries related to allocations, wine club memberships, shipping, and general brand information.
Curate personalized recommendations and offers based on customer preferences, purchase history, and exposure to new ARG brands.
Log and track customer interactions using CRM tools to ensure continuity and highly personalized service.
Tasting Room & Hospitality-
Occasionally host wine tastings, private appointments, and events at The Yount Room in Yountville, delivering memorable, brand-aligned guest experiences.
Assist in prospecting for private tastings, VIP visits, and hospitality events.
Maintain deep product knowledge across all represented wineries to ensure authenticity in storytelling and guest engagement.
Events & Outreach-
When needed, represent ARG winery brands at consumer events, winemaker dinners, and industry tastings (local and national).
Support coordination and logistics for off-site activations, including setup, presentation, and follow-up.
Collaborate with marketing and DTC teams to align messaging and post-event communications for continued engagement.
Administrative & Team Support-
Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and fulfillment teams to support brand launches, promotions, and DTC campaigns.
Assist in reporting on customer engagement, sales performance, and event outcomes.
Remain adaptable and proactive as ARG continues to grow its winery brand portfolio.
Other:
Location: Primarily onsite at our South Napa office, with occasional shifts supporting our Yountville tasting room
Schedule: Monday–Friday standard schedule, with periodic weekend availability for tastings, special events, and guest experiences.
What You Need:
• 2+ years of experience in wine, hospitality, or direct-to-consumer sales (winery or luxury brand background strongly valued).
• Highly comfortable connecting with customers and confidently selling wine by phone.
• Strong wine knowledge, ideally supported by WSET or Sommelier certification (completed or currently pursuing).
• Exceptional communication skills across phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Proficient with CRMs (HubSpot, Commerce7, or comparable platforms) with strong attention to accurate data entry and tracking.
• Customer-first, polished presence, able to represent premium brands with professionalism and warmth.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods during tastings and events.
• Open to occasional travel for consumer and trade/industry events.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
What You’ll Get:
$25-$28 per hour DOE + a generous commission structure.
