Position Title: Seasonal Cellar Hand

Description:

Tamber Bey is a premium winery that focuses on Bordeaux varietals from the Napa Valley. We also custom crush for several luxury brands at our facility in Calistoga. As a seasonal cellar hand, you will work closely with the Winemaking team to execute workorders that include but are not limited to racking, sampling, topping, additions, cleaning and moving barrels.

We are looking for someone to join our small team for the winter/spring season that has high standards and takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate is passionate about wine, interested in learning about different winemaking styles and has a keen attention to detail. This position is available immediately with an end date of May 22nd 2026.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

- Safe and sanitary operation of all winery equipment
- Forklift operation
- Follow and complete all directions on work orders
- Barrel operations (racking/cleaning/topping/additions/gassing)
- Self-motivated with excellent time-management skills
- Ability to stay focused throughout the day and adapt to changing work priorities
- Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a safe, productive work environment
- Exceptional communication skills
- Curious with a desire to learn and improve personal skill set
- Punctual and reliable
- Able to work 4x10 hour shifts per week

Job Requirements and Experience:

- Two years full time experience as a cellar worker desired
- Able to lift 50lb chemical sacks and able to drag 50-100 ft sections of 2-inch wine hose.
- Able to maneuver around tanks/cramped spaces and stand for extended periods of time
- Occasionally available to work overtime during bottling
- Must have a current, valid US Driver’s License
- Ability to effectively communicate in English

Compensation, Benefits and Perks

This role’s compensation is anticipated to fit in the range of $21-$25 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s skills, experience and education. The successful candidate with have paid sick time in accordance with the California labor law and will be eligible for discounts on company wine.
