Amici Cellars is looking for a Estate Host to join our team on a full-time basis to deliver a world-class experience to our customers. The primary objective of this position is to drive DTC sales conversion and growth. For success in this position, the ideal candidate must possess in-depth wine knowledge and sales ability, combined with notable interpersonal skills to guide guests’ experiences in a flexible and creative nature. In addition to hosting guests, this role will foster new and existing sales and memberships by actively conducting individualized outreach via email, phone, and social networking and in-person events. Responsibilities include all aspects of the client relationship – direct sales, client outreach, and service management of client relationships. Participation in events as deemed appropriate including setup, staffing, and breakdown. This position is an integral part of our growing business and will work with the entire team to create a seamless guest experience.
• Provide excellent and professional customer service, with an emphasis on creating customer loyalty and retention.
• Book experiences via phone, and email, gathering the necessary information in a professional and friendly manner, and coordinate the tasting room calendar.
• Keep an accurate and detailed visit calendar so those hosting guests and others on the team know what and who is scheduled for the day.
• Welcome our guests to the property and host tastings.
• Perform daily tasting room duties: Conduct tastings, perform set-up and breakdown of tastings, print menus, wipe down tables, bus and wash glasses, keep the property in top condition, etc.
• Enter and invoice orders
• Record visit histories and customer notes in our POS.
• Understand POS to process sales and shipping orders.
• Manage tasting room inventory including monthly reporting and coordination of replenishment inventory from warehouse
• Stay knowledgeable about competitive wineries and hospitality programs.
• Work with all departments in a collaborative and professional manner.
• Other duties, as assigned, including winery assistance during harvest.
• May require travel
QUALIFICATIONS
• Have previous hospitality experience and strong wine knowledge
• Possess excellent communication & organizational skills. MUST be detail-oriented.
• Strong attention to sales, administrative, and service detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task numerous projects at one time.
• This position is full-time. Hours will vary depending on scheduling needs. Candidates must be willing to have flexible schedules and must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to prioritize and get things done in a rapidly changing environment.
• Be energetic, accountable, and team-oriented.
• Maintain appropriate dress and personal hygiene standards.
