National Director of Sales (Commission-Driven) Hertelendy Vineyards – Napa Valley, CA
Hertelendy Vineyards is an ultra-premium, boutique Napa Valley winery producing approximately 1,000 cases annually. While we are primarily Direct-to-Consumer, we maintain a curated presence in 14 select markets and are proud to have placements in world-class restaurants such as The French Laundry, The Bellagio, and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. With high ratings (100-points) and a reputation for excellence, we are poised for expanded visibility in both DTC and on-premise channels. We are seeking a confident, motivated, and relationship-driven sales professional to help grow our wholesale footprint and strengthen our direct sales efforts. As we are going into our 13th year of business, we would like someone to re-establish old relationships, develop new relationships, and continue strong brand representation in markets to remain relevant. This is predominantly a commission-driven position where your success directly determines your income, with unlimited potential for top performers.
Responsibilities
— Sell Hertelendy wines through in-person outreach (travel required), email, and phone communication
— Prospect, open, and grow restaurant and retail accounts in targeted markets
— Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing wholesale partners
— Expand Hertelendy Vineyards into new markets
— Represent the winery at select local events and tastings as needed
— Respond promptly and professionally to trade and account inquiries
— Serve as an effective brand ambassador who communicates our luxury positioning with confidence

Preferred Experience & Requirements
— Minimum 1 year of wine sales experience. 2+ years a plus
— Broad work experience and Bachelor’s degree ideal (but not required)
— Existing hospitality or wine industry contacts necessary
— Knowledge of wine necessary
— Must be at least 21 years old with a valid CA driver’s license
— Ability to make your own schedule and travel for account visits, events, and tastings
— Able to lift (or roll) a 55-lb case of wine on occasion
— Availability for occasional evenings and weekends when events require it
Compensation & Growth (Please disregard the hourly wage at the bottom. It was a required field, and wouldn't let us set a value more than 2x the minimum)
