Brief Description
This individual is responsible for ordering and maintaining parts inventory, interacting with vendors, preparing payroll for shop personnel, maintenance and repair of vehicles, tractors, and other farm equipment. Applicant needs to have a confident level of computer experience

Basic Job Responsibilities
•  Inspect vehicles, tractors and other equipment for needed repairs/ adjustments
•  Perform required maintenance of all farm equipment

Key Qualifications
•  Basic knowledge of the operation of internal combustion and diesel engines and related power trains
•  Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
•  Basic knowledge of servicing requirements and maintenance procedures for motor vehicles and tractors.
•  Ability to analyze and solve problems
•  Ability to work alone
•  Ability to plan work and achieve required results
•  Ability to work safely
•  Ability to use Microsoft Office and Shop Database at an intermediate level

Licenses
•  Valid drivers license and clean DMV (less than 2 points and no recent DUI)

Experience Desired
•  Interpreting and applying technical information contained in mechanical maintenance service manuals
•  Listening to and visually inspecting vehicles to detect mechanical wear, damage or reasons for failure
•  Adjusting and repairing mechanical systems
•  Using common tools associated with repair of motor vehicles and equipment
•  Bilingual English/Spanish

Physical Requirements
•  Often working outdoors in extremes of heat/humidity/cold and other weather conditions
•  Exposed to dust, noise, gasoline, diesel fuel and solvents
•  Works with flammable and toxic materials
•  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
•  Work is strenuous involving bending, stooping, awkward body positions
•  Good vision
•  Good hearing
•  Reasonable noise tolerance
•  Reasonable dust tolerance
•  Ability to work nights
•  Ability to work different shifts
•  Ability to work swiftly
•  Must be able to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including Respirator
•  Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
•  Ability to stand and walk throughout work shift if performing field work
•  Ability to sit for long periods of time
•  Ability to shift gears, depress pedals; turn knobs and levers; read gauges
•  Ability to work in all types of weather conditions, i.e. frost, fog, wind, heat, etc.
•  Repetitive stooping and bending
•  Good finger dexterity
•  Firm hand grip
•  Repetitive arm and shoulder movement, above and below head level
•  Repetitive use of wrist and hands
•  Repetitive pulling, pushing and reaching
