Ag Health Benefits Alliance (AHBA) has been providing health insurance and other benefits to agricultural employees since its founding as the California Winegrower Foundation in 1972. AHBA is a non-profit member organization that supports both employers and employees.
We are in search of a friendly Benefits Representative to join our team. The Benefits Rep helps employees understand their health benefits and use services available to them. The Benefits Rep also helps to locate providers and resolve medical claims issues. The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish, is organized and personable.
QUALIFICATIONS
AA degree and/or 3-5 years work experience.
Spanish bilingual required.
Strong customer service skills with professional and courteous phone manners.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office suite and other relevant software.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Handle telephone and in-person interactions promptly, clearly and professionally.
• Explain benefits and cost-saving features such as preventive care, telemedicine, urgent care, and health management services.
• Respond to claims inquiries and help resolve claims issues when needed. Document conversations regarding coverage and benefits.
• Distribute important Plan materials.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of annual open enrollment meetings, including bilingual benefit presentations.
• Support team projects and initiatives as needed.
