Job Description:

Seeking a detail-oriented part-time generalist to provide essential support across all facets of our HR operations. In this role, you will be a point of contact for employees, managing everything from payroll and benefits to onboarding and HR systems.
Looking for someone to work 30 hours/week but are flexible with the schedule, although additional hours may be needed based on the needs of the business.
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the HR Generalist performs a variety of generalist support activities in all HR areas, but primarily responsible for all Payroll and HR activities.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Generalist Support
•  Provide HR support, by being a point of contact regarding benefits, policies and procedures, leaves of absence, and any other HR-related questions.
•  Act as the primary liaison between associates and other HR centers of excellence functions in order to provide a high level of service.
•  Provide additional support for employee events as needed including monthly team meetings.
•  Ensure excellent customer service to employee questions with regard to HRIS, health benefits, 401k and payroll.
•  Support and manage various HR projects as required.
•  Conduct internal audits and manage sensitive documentation securely.

Payroll/ HRIS
•  Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees, ensuring compliance with local laws and company policies.
•  Manage the hourly and salary payroll process for all employees. Timecard approval and additions/changes to timecards.
o Pre-check of payroll reports and final approvals
•  Manage any out-of-cycle pay requirements and issues as they arise including calculations and timely receipt of final checks for terminating employees.
•  Work closely with PR North American payroll team to look at ways to improve and streamline the payroll process and experience.
•  Set up new employees in HRIS, salary updates / role changes and terminations.
•  Responsible for managing HR database to ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records.
•  Ensure all employee files and documentation is kept maintaining legal compliance, ensuring timely destruction of documents for efficiency.
•  Automate repetitive tasks and build processes.

Reporting
•  Manage annual social reporting for all PRW USA employees.
•  Payroll reporting, headcount, starters, terminations report for stakeholders.
•  Monthly reporting for PRW regionally (PTO, Management KPI’s, Sustainability KPI’s)
•  Submit annual compensation surveys and participate in other ad hoc compensation surveys.
•  Manage HR reporting requirements for PRW/MMPJ and ensure these are accurate and timely.
•  Contribute to various internal and external reports as required.
•  All other ad hoc reporting

Digital Engagement
•  Responsible for managing all HR tech platforms to boost employee connection and interaction.
•  Monitor and optimize usage and engagement with digital HR tools and ensure all systems are accurate and kept up to date.
•  Responsible for administration of the following systems: WorkDay, KRONOS, Active Directory, PDK, MyPortal.
•  Back end management of KRONOS and WorkDay: configuration requests to support team and follow through.

Recruitment & Onboarding
•  Support the full employment lifecycle of our employees from on-boarding through off-boarding to make their experience seamless, including employee orientation.
o Ensure successful onboarding for new employee. Facilitate New Hire Orientation and conduct onboarding sessions to ensure successful new hire integration.
•  Preparing job descriptions in conjunction with hiring manager; compensation analysis
•  Manage job postings.
•  Manage recruitment cycle: screening, interviewing, evaluating candidates.
•  Seasonal and part-time recruitment: own entire recruitment process for Harvest and part-time positions. From planning, sourcing, recruiting, onboarding and offboarding.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

Essential:
•  Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
•  2-3 years of professional-level HR experience
•  Knowledge & understanding of California employment, wage and hours laws.
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications- specifically high proficiency in Excel
•  Ability to work autonomously, displaying initiative, accountability and responsibility.
•  Ability to prioritize workload and communicate effectively.
•  Very strong system skills including data entry, analytics and reporting
•  Strong interpersonal skills
•  Perform work in a systematic and accurate manner.
•  Strong sense of urgency and ability to identify and solve problems.

Desirable:
•  Previously worked in an operational environment
•  Spanish language skills
•  Previous payroll experience
•  Experience in a global organization

Special Conditions:
•  Some out-of-hours work may be required.
•  Travel to Pernod Ricard Winemakers USA sites.
•  Current driver’s license
•  Work is performed in a typical office environment. Limited demands for movement and lifting.

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay scale offered for this position is $30- $35 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. The Company reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
