Tasting Room & Wine Club Manager

Position Overview
Trinitas Cellars is seeking a dynamic, hospitality-driven professional to join our team as the Tasting Room & Wine Club Manager. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day tasting room operations, driving revenue, leading the guest experience, and managing the strategic and logistical elements of our growing wine club. This individual will lead a small team, coach toward sales and membership growth, and serve as the primary point of contact for private and large group events. The ideal candidate brings a passion for guest service, proven team leadership, and the operational acumen to manage both the tasting room and wine club in alignment with our brand standards.

Key Responsibilities
Tasting Room Leadership
Sales & Revenue
• Develop and implement strategies to drive qualified traffic, increase tasting room sales, and grow wine club memberships.
• Analyze sales and traffic data to inform promotions, staffing, and marketing priorities.
• Lead and coach the team to achieve sales goals, upsell effectively, and convert guests into loyal wine club members.
• Report on key performance indicators weekly and adjust tactics as needed to meet revenue targets.
Guest Experience
• Champion a best-in-class guest experience rooted in warmth, hospitality, and education.
• Enforce service standards, review protocols, and lead by example in day-to-day operations.
• Oversee seasonal events and tastings, working closely with the marketing and operations teams.
• Respond to guest feedback and mystery shopper reports to ensure service excellence.
Event Sales & Execution
• Serve as the primary point of contact for selling, booking, and hosting private and group tasting events.
• Customize experiences to reflect guest preferences and highlight the Trinitas brand.
• Oversee FAM trips and off-site presentations to grow the event pipeline.
• Collaborate with culinary and logistics teams to ensure flawless execution.
Team Management
• Hire, train, and lead a team of full-time, part-time, and on-call tasting/event associates.
• Schedule and manage labor to align with business demand.
• Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and teamwork through coaching and ongoing feedback.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary processes when necessary.
Operations & Inventory
• Work with the Inventory Coordinator to manage wine and merchandise stock.
• Order supplies and maintain appropriate tasting room inventory (wine bags, linens, food items).
• Ensure timely reporting for month-end inventory and pricing updates.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and on-brand physical environment.
Community Engagement
• Develop and maintain referral partnerships with local hotels, businesses, and concierges.
• Represent the winery at off-site events and industry associations (CANVA, BANG, Napa Chamber).
Wine Club Management
• Plan and execute all club shipments, including customization setup and fulfillment coordination.
• Manage all broad-scale member communications (email, SMS, newsletters) around shipments, events, and promotions.
• Coordinate and oversee logistics for wine club pickup parties in collaboration with hospitality and marketing.
• Manage wine club processing, including payment issues, address corrections, and re-shipments.
• Track and report wine club metrics, including acquisition, retention, and member churn.
• Partner with the tasting room team to drive consistent messaging and lead club conversions during guest visits.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years tasting room management experience required.
• Wine club experience strongly preferred, especially in operations, logistics, or member communication.
• Proven success in a sales-driven, guest-focused hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to hold teams accountable while fostering positivity and performance.
• Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data to drive decision-making and improve results.
• Familiarity with POS, CRM, and club management platforms (Commerce7, Mailchimp, WineDirect, etc. a plus).
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift/move up to 45 lbs safely.
• Regular use of hands for pouring, serving, and handling merchandise and event materials.
