Job Summary
The Private Client Lead (PCL) is responsible for increasing our wine and luxury experiences sales to top-tier VIP clients. This role requires a professional with demonstrated high touch luxury service capability who will refine the way we market to and service top-tier clients. PCL will create and grow a direct-to-collector program, elevate, develop and grow our domestic US in-home tastings, Napa and Sonoma County hotel and restaurant partners for customized off-site tastings and domestic US market tastings/experiences showcasing the best of the Charles Krug portfolio, including caviar.
PCL will also be responsible for elevated and customized VIP trade experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Build relationships with top-tier consumers, profile their preferences, and anticipate their needs/wishes.
Develop SOPs and provide training to Charles Krug Staff when and where needed for their private clients and luxury experiences both on and off-site.
Design and execute high-touch experiences that cultivate meaningful relationships with collectors—fostering emotional connections and driving long-term sales growth.
Work the market through strategic community, restaurant, and hotel outreach—developing strong leads, building key partnerships, and ultimately driving sales.
Provide analysis and insights into private client engagement and return on investment.
Oversee VIP private client purchasing patterns and develop customized plans to grow sales and retention.

Qualifications (work experience, preferred skills and education):
5+ years of sales experience within the luxury industry
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Excellent communicator with strong sales and customer service skills
Proven track record of successful selling directly to VIP clients
Engaging public speaker and storyteller
Excellent writing skills and strong attention to detail
Wine certifications and ability to have detailed wine conversations with collectors
