Outpost Wines is hiring one more person to join our harvest team for the 2025 season. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in being part of a small team focused on high-quality winemaking.
Outpost is located on Howell Mountain in Angwin, CA. Most of our production is Cabernet Sauvignon; however, we make Zinfandel, Grenache, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc as well.
The main responsibilities for this position will be cleaning and helping to process fruit. Depending on experience and proven capabilities, other vineyard and cellar duties may be assigned as well.
Lunch and snacks are provided daily. The internship will run approximately from September through Thanksgiving; the official end date will depend on performance and the vintage.
Our crush pad is outside with no roof, and we work hard in all types of weather. During the peak of harvest, the interns are expected to work outside 6 days per week, and up to 14 hours per day, depending on the workload.
Successful Candidates will be able to:
- Follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Work in high stress and fast-paced environments
- Work overtime and weekends
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Work on their feet all day
- Climb ladders and stairs
- Be fully available from September – Thanksgiving
- Be open to taking instruction and constructive feedback
- Maintain a positive, “can-do” attitude throughout harvest
Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from the winery. We do not offer housing.
