As our Hospitality Concierge, you’ll be the first voice and warmest welcome that guests encounter — whether it’s over the phone, by email, or in person. From booking world-class tastings to upgrading VIP experiences, you’ll help guests feel the magic before they even arrive.
Customer Service (60%)
• Answer guest calls and emails with enthusiasm and clarity
• Share your knowledge and passion for wine by promoting our one-of-a-kind tasting and touring experiences
• Use our reservation software to book unforgettable visits
• Customize confirmations with helpful details and personal touches
• Create seamless, high-touch experiences from the very first interaction
• Recommend upgrades and special touches to elevate each guest’s visit
• Help manage the reservations calendar with laser-sharp accuracy
• Track wine order shipments and support guests with any questions along the way
• Know the ins and outs of shipping and club member perks — and make every member feel like family
• Jump in once a month as a Visitor Center host to keep your finger on the pulse of our guest experiences!
Support the Wine Club, Visitor Center, and Front Desk (30%)
• Help keep our Wine Club database sparkling clean and up-to-date
• Support members with credit card updates, address changes, and correspondence
• Assist with shipping logistics, merchandise orders, and resolving wine delivery issues
• Send post-visit emails encouraging guest feedback on platforms like TripAdvisor and Yelp
• Help cover the front desk with warm, professional energy during breaks and lunches
Event Support (10%)
• Occasionally assist with set-up, pouring, and guest support at special events (evening and weekend availability a plus!)
• Represent The Hess Collection at exciting off-site activations in the local and regional wine community
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
• A passion for people and a natural talent for hospitality
• 2+ years in a guest-focused role (hospitality/wine industry experience a big plus!)
• Confident and professional communication over the phone and by email
• Friendly, outgoing personality with a “yes, and…” attitude
• Super organized with great time management and a detail-loving mindset
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities while staying calm and guest-focused
• Familiar with Microsoft Office; experience with CellarPass, WineDirect, VinoVisit, and shipping software is a bonus!
Physical Demands:
• Sitting at a desk for extended periods
• Walking, bending, lifting wine cases (up to 40 lbs), and assisting with event setup
• Using office equipment like phones, computers, copiers, and mailing machines
• Laminator
• Registers for POS & Order Entry
• Shipping Software (UPS, FedEx, DHL)
• Wine related devices including buffing cloths, corkscrews, wash racks, decanters
This role’s compensation is anticipated to fit within the range of $19.00 - $21.00 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, knowledge and education.
