Job Description:

Schramsberg and Davies Vineyards is looking for a Wine Club and Export Associate to join our team.

SUMMARY
The Wine Club and Export Associate is responsible for processing club applications, correspondence, maintenance of databases, order processing and answering phones while providing excellent customer service. The Associate supports export brokers and facilitates export sales. The Associate will assist the Wine Club Manager as requested.

Essential Functions:

Wine Club: 95%
•  Enter new applications into the database, checking for complete information and coding appropriately.
•  Initializing usernames and emailing welcome letters.
•  Maintain customer database by updating club member records in AMS.
•  Handle cancellations, suspensions, delayed shipments, returns, and replacements.
•  Make Sure that members with 3rd party carrier accounts receive their shipments each quarter.
•  Follow up on returned shipments, processing credits, and/or reshipping packages as needed.
•  Answer phone calls and emails from club members.
•  Assist with incoming add to club order requests and reorder requests.
•  Contact club members after each quarterly shipment regarding problems with their credit cards and returns.
•  Follow on pending “Will Call” orders not picked up between club runs and ship or cancel as needed.
•  Responsible for maintaining the Club Gift membership database.
•  Send renewal letters and gift switchover letters as needed.
•  Work special events, including set up, break down, pouring wine, and hosting guests as needed.
•  Help in the Visitor Center with member tastings during the busy season if time permits.

General DTC Support: 5%
•  Provide telephone and office support as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
•  Experience: 2+ years of experience in a winery is desired.
•  Education: Associate in marketing, Business, or related field preferred.
•  Education may be substituted with proven experience in a winery environment for 3 years or more.
•  Experience with CRM/POS is necessary, AMS preferred.
•  Direct-to-consumer sales experience in the wine industry is preferred.
•  Understanding of direct marketing and E-commerce activities.
•  Working knowledge of wine.
•  Attention to detail is required for data entry.
•  Excellent customer service skills.
•  Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
•  Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
•  Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
•  Commitment to high standards.
•  Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with others.
•  Must have a valid California driver’s license and be insurable.

Physical Requirements:
•  Required to use hands and/or fingers to handle or feel.
•  Frequently required to stand for long periods.
•  Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
•  Occasionally required to sit, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, talk or hear, taste or smell.
•  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Safety duties and responsibilities:
Accident prevention is of primary importance in all phases of job responsibilities.
•  Follow all company policies and procedures, including job safety, safety rules, and regulations.
•  Assist management in providing safe and healthy working conditions at all times.
•  Immediately report all unsafe conditions, work-related accidents, and illnesses to the Safety Manager and supervisor.

Pay Transparency Disclosure:
The pay scale for this position is $23.00/hr. - $27.00/hr. These figures represent what we expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend on numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and market alignment. The Company reserves the right to modify this range in the future.
