DTC Fulfillment & Inventory Specialist

Job Description:

PURPOSE OF JOB: Support the shipping, fulfillment, and inventory management functions for Hess Persson Estates’ off-site consumer retail channels (DTC). This role is responsible for ensuring accurate order fulfillment, timely customer deliveries, inventory accuracy, and seamless coordination with third-party logistics partners to deliver exceptional customer experience.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Outbound Fulfillment Responsibilities
•  Accurately pick, pack, and ship direct-to-consumer (DTC) orders in a timely manner.
•  Serve as the primary contact with fulfillment partners to coordinate daily shipments and resolve issues.
•  Assist the Customer Service team with delivery issues such as delays, missed deliveries, damaged packages, and returns.
•  Support the shipping of promotional orders to vendors, distributors, growers, and other partners.
•  Manage customer pickup scheduling and communication.
•  Collaborate with the Shipping/Receiving team to support broader logistics operations.
•  Communicate inventory changes and availability to internal stakeholders, including the customer service team.
•  Prepare for high-volume periods such as wine club releases, major promotions, and seasonal offers.

Inventory Management
•  Maintain accurate inventory records across all relevant systems.
•  Coordinate interdepartmental inventory transfers and ensure timely documentation of all movements.
•  Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock is available to meet ongoing DTC sales demand.
•  Analyze inventory data regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies between physical and system records.
•  Work with the Brand and Production teams to order custom packaging, manage repack projects, and source shipping supplies.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
•  Energetic self-starter with a customer-focused mindset and strong attention to detail.
•  Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, and time management abilities.
•  Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse, shipping, or inventory management in a manufacturing or production environment.
•  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
•  Strong working knowledge of ERP and WMS systems; experience with Commerce7, WineShipping, Sovos, and FedEx systems highly preferred.
•  Forklift certified with hands-on experience operating warehouse equipment.
•  Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
•  High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
•  Must be at least 21 years of age.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. •  Able to lift 40 pounds.
•  Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods as required by operational needs.
•  Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.


EQUIPMENT USED: Forklifts, clamp lifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other standard warehouse equipment.


FOOD SAFETY: Hess Persson Estates in SQF/HACCP certified. Each person is responsible for upholding all the provisions within our Quality policy and meeting all regulatory and statutory requirements relevant to their induvial role. In the absence of this role the person that this role reports to shall be responsible for ensuring all food safety requirements relative to this role are met.

This role’s compensation is anticipated to fit within the range of $24.00 - $28.00 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, knowledge and education.
