The Brand and Content Manager serves as Visit Napa Valley’s in-house brand steward, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment across all brand touchpoints, including digital and physical collateral. This role supports a range of brand marketing efforts to promote Napa Valley as a premier destination through compelling blog content, email marketing, printed materials, and brand-aligned digital asset management.
You will lead the development and execution of brand messaging and content strategy across all channels—producing engaging blog content and email campaigns—and collaborate across departments to ensure consistency and accuracy in brand marketing, voice, and visual identity.
This role also manages the production of print collateral, including magazines, brochures, postcards, signage, and maps, while supporting internal teams with marketing services and graphic needs. It contributes to broader marketing initiatives with a strong focus on storytelling, organization, and attention to detail.
What you’ll do:
• Ideate, create, and update engaging blog posts using rich storytelling techniques to convey the story of Napa Valley, and its unique offerings, positioning Napa Valley as a premier wine country destination, while maintaining a consistent and authentic brand voice. Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to ensure SEO strategy and best practices are followed.
• Provide digital expertise for B2C and B2B email campaigns, proactively utilizing the email platform and always effectively incorporating Visit Napa Valley’s branding. Provide quality assurance in building email campaigns in line with the internal communications calendar and stay abreast of email best practices and cross-platform digital opportunities.
• Maintain and grow the email database, manage email list segmentation, and drive overall email performance.
• Provide in-house brand marketing services across departments, creating digital and print collateral, event materials, email images and templates, all through the lens of a brand steward.
• Assist the Digital Marketing Manager with backend storage and management of digital assets, ensuring content is current, brand-aligned, and visually consistent.
• Collaborate with Social Media Manager to ensure all partner features are reported and logged in our database system.
• Work with local radio to curate content, review final production pieces, and ensure that all featured partners are reported and logged in our database system.
• Engage in, develop an understanding for, and assist with department-wide marketing campaigns and initiatives.
• Collaborate and work cross functionally with staff to ensure content aligns with visual identity and campaign themes as the brand leader.
• Closely follow, contribute to, and help manage the internal content calendar.
• Place a heavy focus on project management, cross-department communication, and a proactive approach toward project completion.
What We’re Looking For (Skills and Qualifications):
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience working in marketing or as a brand steward.
• Design experience using Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong writing skills, creating engaging and optimized content using rich storytelling techniques
• Demonstrable experience in brand marketing, establishing an elevated consistency in look, feel and voice across all channels.
• Highly creative with experience in identifying digital optimization opportunities and executing on strategies and tactics.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
• Foster proactive communication of ideas and plans.
• A willingness to apply personal strengths to projects beyond finite areas of responsibility.
• Proven track record of building successful relationships with internal stakeholders and external partner organizations.
• Creative, organized, and detail oriented.
• A self-starter with the ability to multitask.
• Demonstrated excellent prioritization, time management and project management skills.
• Demonstrated strong written and oral communications and presentation skills.
• Political astuteness. Act as brand ambassador with all touch points throughout the community and beyond.
