Due to a change in circumstances, Mayacamas Vineyards is once again seeking candidates to help us with our 136th vintage. Situated atop Mt. Veeder, Mayacamas is known for producing legendary, age worthy expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Chardonnay. This unique position will offer the opportunity to connect with our diverse estate vineyard while working with the best of both old and new world cellar techniques.
Responsibilities will include all the customary harvest workflow such as vineyard sampling, fruit intake, light sorting, fermentation monitoring, pumpovers, barrel/foudre work, transfers, and lots of cleaning. Long hours during the peak of harvest are not unheard of, but we make sure to keep things lively and engaging. Our production team is a tight group of three and we are eager for the right person to get the most out of their harvest experience at Mayacamas.
Previous harvest and forklift experience is appreciated, but work ethic, a thoughtful attitude, and adaptability are the qualities we ultimately prize most. A good sense of humor is also a plus.
Duration of employment is from August to late October. Potential for an earlier start date or extended post-harvest employment will be available depending on the season, prior experience & later performance.
Compensation DOE. Mayacamas is unable to provide housing. Applicant will need a reliable means of transportation.
At this later date, domestic applications will be prioritized. International applicants will be considered for 2025 if specific timing and circumstances allow. Otherwise, we will keep contact on file for Harvest 2026.
If interested, please submit resume. Thoughtful cover letters appreciated.
Cheers,
Mayacamas Vineyards
