What You'll Do: Drive Our Brands to New Horizons
As a Brand Manager at Last Bottle Inc., you'll be the strategic mastermind behind our owned brands. You'll work cross-functionally with every team to bring our wines to life and to market. Here’s a glimpse of the impact you'll make:
Brand Visionary: You'll be the architect of our brand strategies, developing and implementing plans that elevate each of our owned labels.
Market Maestro: You'll expertly align our SKUs with the right sales channels, minimizing conflict and maximizing reach.
Collaborative Leader: Work hand-in-hand with our distributor partners, 2 Tier Trading manager, the merchandising team, and the wine club manager to forecast sales and meticulously schedule SKU distribution.
Product Pioneer: Partner with our procurement, distribution and 2Tier Trading teams to strategically plan our product roadmap, bringing exciting new wines to our customers in wholesale and DTC channels.
Sales Strategist: Identify and capitalize on unique sales opportunities to expand brand reach and utilization across all channels.
Operational Excellence: You'll support the team with critical tasks like product and label registrations, as well as developing robust pricing strategies.
Production Partner: Coordinate seamlessly with our winemaking and sourcing teams to ensure production schedules are perfectly in sync with sales demands.
Vineyard Seeker: Identify new vineyard opportunities and negotiate key contracts alongside our winemaking experts.
Marketing & Design Champion: Collaborate closely with our marketing team and graphic designers to produce impactful branding and stunning new labels that captivate our audience. You'll also maintain and optimize our brand websites to powerfully reinforce brand strategy.
Financial Steward: Assist the winemaking team in managing COGS and negotiating favorable pricing for dry goods, bulk wine, fruit contracts, and more.
Compliance & IP Guardian: Stay on top of trademark renewals, COLA registrations (in collaboration with Director of Global Supply Chain), California CRV, and excise taxes, ensuring all our brands are fully compliant and protected. You'll also meticulously proof and QA all new labels for accuracy in collaboration with our design team.
Data Driven: Collect and report on data to drive your decisions at every stage. Manage UPC codes and interface with GS1 to keep accounts up to date.

You're more than just a brand manager; you're a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the wine industry.
Wine Industry Acumen: A proven understanding of US wholesale distribution, with a preference for experience in brand management within an importer or a large wine group.
Relationship Builder: Established relationships with key account buyers.
Launch Specialist: A successful track record of launching or re-launching brands in the US market.
Production Savvy: Knowledge of the wine production process and procurement of materials.
Compliance Whiz: A solid understanding of compliance as it relates to production and sales, both in California and internationally.

Location & Flexibility:
This role is based in our American Canyon, CA office. We believe in building strong team connections, so the first 90 days will be in-office. After successful completion of this period, there's potential for 1-2 days of weekly remote work, offering you greater flexibility.

Compensation:
Salary Range: $85,000-100,000 per year + 1% of gross revenue for the brands within the portfolio excluding sales through internal retail channels.
