2025 Harvest Lab Intern

Job Description:

Brasswood Cellars is looking for a lab intern to join us now for the 2025 season with the possibility of a full-time position after harvest. If you are a hardworking, passionate person who pays attention to detail and thrives in a bustling, team-driven environment then look no further! All levels of experience will be considered.

What you’d do as a Lab Intern?—You’ll:
•  Perform basic lab analysis in a wet chemistry lab (FSO2, VA, pH, TA, Alcohol, etc.)
•  Pull samples of juice, wine, and grapes
•  Run enzymatic analysis for malic acid, G/F, YAN, PAAN
•  Help cellar crew when needed with cap management, inoculations and additions, sanitation, barrel care, etc.
•  Help maintain dry goods product inventory
•  Help with daily Brix and temp checks
•  In essence, you’ll learn the science behind the art!

•  Passionate about winemaking and learning new things
•  Ready to work hard, positive and have a great team player attitude.
•  Organized, great attention to detail, and possess great problem solving skills.
•  Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
•  Able to work day or night shifts with extended hours. Weekend work is expected.
•  Able to read, write and perform simple arithmetic.
•  Able to work in small confined spaces and high places.
•  Able to stand for long periods of time.
•  Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
•  A foodie? Excellent! Most of us at Brasswood love to cook as well as geek out on wine!
