Location
The Terraces - Silverado Trail, Rutherford

Schedule
Saturday and Sunday required with 1-2 flexible days during the week if desired

Compensation
$28.00 / hr - $32.00 / hr

About the Role
We’re currently looking for a Part Time Sales Associate with a background in hospitality to join our small team to host guests. We are looking for someone who has a deep passion for wine, a desire to learn more about winemaking and farming, and a serious desire to enjoy life.

All of our experiences are privately hosted and begin with an ATV tour through our vineyards, stopping at historic buildings, discussing our farming practices, and ending with a barrel tasting of our 25-year old balsamic vinegar. Following the tour, we head up to the winery for a curated tasting of 5 of our current releases.

You'll be responsible for setting up the tasting room daily as well as clean up. You will walk each guest through our lineup of wines, discussing our history, farming practices, winemaking techniques, and additional tourist information/conversation. You will help with stocking wine and operating supplies, ensuring that our standards are maintained with cleanliness, organization, and general aesthetics.

The Details
- This is a part time position and a weekend role, with the ability to work a maximum of 30 hours per week - perfect if you want to supplement other income.
- Greet all visitors, show them the property, pour and discusses wines for tasting, and responds to customer questions.
- Ensure that every guest enjoys their experience and leaves with a smile on their face.
- Can captivatingly describe our wines, winemaking techniques, and winery history.
- Effectively sells wine and wine club memberships to guests.
- Accurately processes purchasing transactions.
- Maintains current knowledge of shipping compliance and limitations.
- Is an active participant in daily operations of setting up and cleaning up the tasting room.

About You
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Passionate about story telling and wine
- Must be able to commit to working weekends
- A background in hospitality (bonus point for wine hospitality)
- Possesses or can develop solid knowledge of wines and winemaking processes
- Knowledgable of food and wine, the wine industry, Napa Valley, and Bay Area restaurants
- An upbeat and positive attitude
- Must have a clean professional appearance
- Shows commitment to excellence and takes pride in work
- Proficient with Commerce7 or similar POS systems
- Must be able to lift and move up to 45lbs (a case of wine), and walk up stairs
- Valid drivers license
