Position Overview
The Staff Accountant performs fundamental accounting duties related to all winery and agricultural transactions, including but not limited to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This position requires a strong attention to detail while working under time constraints, to help ensure a timely month end close.

Specific Duties
•  Manages accounts payable for multiple entities and vendors using accounting software and other programs to record, store and analyze information with a high degree of
accuracy.
•  Ensures bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to department procedures and GAAP guidelines.
•  Monthly analysis and reconciliation of winery and farming inventory accounts.
•  Monthly cost allocations between departments as well as company entities.
•  Resolves and documents invoice and payment discrepancies.
•  Handles vendor inquiries, follow up and statement reconciliations.
•  Codes and reconciles company credit card statements.
•  Develop and prepare additional balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
•  Controls small petty cash fund; authorizes disbursement and fund replenishment; prepares necessary entries.
•  Assists with month end/year end close for all winery, farming, and vineyard entities.
•  Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
•  Records weekly deposits in the accounting system, then prepares the deposit using a remote capture device.
•  Prepares monthly cash deposits and schedules courier for pick up.
•  Locates and monitors overdue accounts, using computers and a variety of automated systems.
•  Records information about the financial status of customers and status of collection efforts.
•  Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
•  Accounting Experience of 2+ years required.
•  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, AMS, Ramp, Tipalti, Adobe Acrobat.
•  Ability to work independently in a team environment, well organized and detail oriented.
•  Ability to work with highly confidential information with complete confidentiality and integrity.
•  Possess strong communication, time management, task prioritization and interpersonal skills.
•  Strong interpersonal, problem solving, customer service, and analytical skills.
•  Exceptional time management and attention to detail skills.
•  Ability to work in-person at our estate in Napa.
•  Flexibility and willingness to embrace other duties as assigned.
•  Desire to work hard, keep learning and have fun!

Working Conditions
Work is performed within a general office environment, with standard office equipment available. Work is sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements
•  Operate a desktop computer using keyboard and mouse, employing repetitive arm and wrist motions.
•  Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.
•  Specific vision abilities require close and distance vision.
•  Sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
•  Occasionally bend, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, or climb stairs.
•  Occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time/Non-Exempt

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay scale offered for this position is $36.00-$40.00/hour. This salary range represents what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. However, the actual pay rate will depend upon job-related factors such as overall qualifications, skills, experience, education, etc. The Company reserves the right to modify the range at any time.
