We are a young luxury, boutique winery located in Calistoga, showcasing exclusive wines crafted by Thomas Rivers Brown. Our ideal candidate will have a hospitality heart, be organized and proficient, able to multi-task and wear many hats. They will embody our brand visions and values by creating a warm and welcoming environment for our high touch guests. They should also have a proven track record of sales and wine club conversions, and be an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and positive team player able to supervise and motivate a team and lead by example. As Lead Wine Educator, you play a pivotal role in the overall success and daily activities of the tasting room, serve as a considerate leader to your team, taking ownership of the brand message, and keep it at the core of your interactions with your teammates, management, and guests.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:

Create memorable tasting experiences for new and existing guests.

Assist in promoting brand awareness.

Advocate for the brand in and outside of the winery.

Be an authentic storyteller and engage guests in conversation.

Be responsible for wine sales and new membership signups.

Perform daily set up and break down of hospitality spaces.

Display a passion for wine and an interest in furthering wine education.

Accurately describe wines, winemaking techniques, winery story, appellations, and unique aspects of wines.

Stay up to date on current policies and procedures of the winery.

Accurately process all wine sales and new memberships, as well as actively engage in post-visit communication to ensure a complete guest experience.

Prepare and pack wine shipments.

Be available to work nights and weekends if needed.

Present yourself in a professional and authentic manner.

Minimum of 2 years working in a high end, luxury environment.

Experience with Commerce7, RedChirp, Excel preferred.
