Regusci Vineyard Management & Winery has been family owned and operated for five generations. Located in the center of the Stags Leap District, the Regusci family has been farming their 286 acre property with an eye on sustainable agriculture and honoring its rich history. Regusci Vineyard Management, our farming company, manages over 1,500 acres and custom farms an additional 1,300 acres. Regusci Winery, one of Napa’s original ghost wineries dating back to 1878, produces highly esteemed Bordeaux varietals that are estate grown. Today, the Companies employ over 175 full-time employees. The Human Resources Manager works to meet the personnel, compliance and safety needs of our vineyard management and winery companies. This role supports management with creating new guideless and policies and identifying ways to drive consistency among procedures to improve efficiency and employee satisfaction. The responsibilities for the Human Resources Manager includes, but are not limited to, the following:

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Work with the CFO to clarify the organizations strategic goals and values and create objectives and plans for the HR function that support those goals and values.
•  Lead the Human Resources Team to support culture and ongoing improvements.
•  Working with management and employees, advise and participate in resolving employee relations situations.
•  Oversee payroll processing and our relationship with third party vendor ADP.
•  Coordinate benefits administration and enrollment.
•  Manage the sourcing, recruiting, hiring, on-boarding and new hire orientation process; ensure continual improvement in these processes.
•  Lead the performance management process, including job descriptions, performance standards and performance evaluation tools and tracking.
•  Oversee worker’s compensation processing and mitigate high risk claims with proactive claims assistance.
•  Implementation and maintenance of Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), including management of monthly safety training programs.
•  Advise department managers on risk limitation.
•  Audit and update HR documents, including employee handbook, to ensure that our company is within local, state, and federal laws.
•  Coordinate with related specialists/legal counsel as necessary.

•  Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
•  Works at Regusci Winery in Napa, California.
•  May require to work nights and/or weekends on occasion.
•  Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. (case of wine).
•  Must be 21 years of age or older.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. •  Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, with an emphasis in risk management.
•  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
•  PHR Certification minimum, SPHR Certification desired.
•  Understanding of human resources processes, regulations, and policies is required.
•  Proficiency in Spanish, both spoken and written.
•  Wine industry and/or Vineyard Management experience is preferred.
•  Requires strong PC computer literacy skills.
•  Requires strong interpersonal skills.
•  Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
•  Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
•  Must have initiative, enthusiasm and self-motivation.
