Quintessential Wines is a family owned-and-operated import, marketing and sales company headquartered in Napa, CA. We are dedicated exclusively to representing multi-generational, family owned-and-operated wineries who have the same passion for winemaking as we have in strategically marketing and selling their wines. These producers, from most of the top wine regions around the world, create wines that offer the best, most authentic expression of the terroir from their respective vineyards.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding, assessing and analyzing various aspects of the business. This person will frequently be asked to analyze impacts of change, planning and projections. The Analyst will work at the direction of the executive team and with complex data examining industry standards, competitors and internal pricing strategies to establish our own pricing requirements.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Critical Tasks – Pricing: (40%)
•  Master Cost Grid (MCG) – support the efforts and direction provided by the executive team. Incorporate Supplier pricing updates to be accurately reflected in the MCG.
•  Maintain pricing updates and files for BC365, Special Pricing files, (Carmines, Advise NYNJ, Epcot, etc
•  National Wholesale pricing – maintain and communicate distributor pricing along with approvals including DDP, DI, increased DAs and DA exception management, Private Labels, etc. Ensure state pricing files are current and updated in the MCG.


Miscellaneous Analysis (20%)
•  NYNJ pricing upload monthly.
•  Goals files and KPI files reporting every other month (60 day programs).
•  Monthly IRC redemption reports.
•  Add-hoc performance reports on request both internal and external ‘customers’.
•  Daily Sales Report (DSR) – must be accurate, scan for pricing and cost discrepancies prior to daily report launch.


System Oversight (30%)
•  DIVER Management – report creation and maintenance, ad hoc reports, load annual and periodic goals, automatic email reports (dial reports).

Company Citizenship (10%)
•  Actively engages with company management to work through business opportunities and changes.
•  Sound business decisions, high ethical standards, accountability, values, and behavior. Builds trust within their teams and other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance is preferred

Skills: Demonstrate familiarity with financial reporting systems. Strong analytical skills, accurate and reliable. Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in identifying and resolving problems are extremely important. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Able to work as part of a team and communicating with team members/colleagues regularly. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast moving work environment.

Knowledge: Strong computer skills (Word, Excel (Intermediate), database). Strong math and calculator skills. Experience with Navision and other business applications helpful. Experience with Diver preferred. Wine knowledge a plus
