Job Description:

Arrow&Branch Winery, located in Napa, is a new winemaking facility serving a collective of small artisan producers and tailored to winemaking at the highest level. We use state of the art equipment and traditional winemaking practices to craft wines from Napa Valley’s most prestigious vineyards.

Arrow&Branch Winery is seeking an Assistant Winemaker to participate in all winery work operations, cellar work planning, work order management and continued growth of the business.

The Assistant Winemaker is responsible for creating and managing work orders and inventory, as well as short- and long-term planning for both harvest and non-harvest activities. This position will interact with our winemaker clients and ensure that their wines are cared for at the highest level. This position participates in cellar work and fermentation management. As a brand-new winery, this position will be integral in assisting with establishing SOPs, hiring and training harvest interns, and outfitting some aspects of the production spaces.

We are looking for someone who is committed to quality winemaking, who is knowledgeable about a variety of winemaking practices, who works well under pressure, who is a team leader, and who can be personable with a broad swath of different people.

Qualifications

•  Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3+ years of full-time winemaking experience
•  Must be familiar with cellar workflow management. Custom Crush winery experience is a plus.
•  Highly skilled in hands-on cellar operations and familiar with a wide variety of high-quality winemaking practices.
•  Skilled in sensory evaluation including identifying wine flaws.
•  Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
•  Has experience with work-order management. Experience with Innovint is a plus.
•  Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
•  Strong verbal and written communication skills and a positive attitude. Spanish is a plus.
•  Able to lift 40#s, climb ladders, work in hot/cold and wet environments, and work long hours.
•  Must be currently legal to work in the United States.
