Bohemian Wine Company is looking for experienced and highly motivated Wine Connoisseur for our new tasting room located in Oliver BC. We are seeking a top professional with exceptional customer service skills to take over some managing skills as well.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the daily operations of the tasting room
- Providing guests with a memorable tasting experience both indoors and outdoors
- Work closely with the Owners & Winemaker on managing the wine shop & wine club
- Presenting winery story and all winery sub-brands
- Maintain inventory, organization and cleanliness on the tasting room – on daily basis
- Light housekeeping duties in public areas, stocking shelves
- Attending and co-organizing winery events
- Supporting onsite and offsite winery representation, sales and events
- Organizing online sales & shipping
- Any other duties that may be required from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced knowledge of wine
- Food safe and ISG/WSET min. level 3
- Sommelier or Bartender experience
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in sales, marketing of a wine brand
- Excellent organizational skills including the ability to manage projects & prioritize
- Passion for wine and professional customer service
- Self-motivated and able to act independently to solve problems
- Serve it right certificate
- Professional, warm and welcoming personal presentation
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn point of sale systems
- Ability to work most weekends and some holidays
- Previous experience with a proven track record a must
- Valid BC driver’s licence, should be able to lift 30-50lbs
