Position Summary:
Keplinger seeks a polished, sales-focused Hospitality & Winery Host to lead guest experiences and Direct-to-Consumer wine sales at our new West Paso Robles winery and vineyard. This role manages tastings and daily hospitality operations, with a focus on luxury service, customer relationships, sales, and wine club conversion. The ideal candidate is passionate about wine, motivated, and thrives in an elevated service environment.

About Us:
Keplinger, owned by Winemaker Helen Keplinger and Vintner DJ Warner since 2006, produces small-lot, terroir-driven Rhone and Bordeaux varietal wines from distinctive vineyard sites in Napa Valley, Sonoma, the Sierra Foothills, and Paso Robles. Each wine reflects its vineyard source through careful, detail-driven winemaking. Keplinger’s newly planted estate, Star Wagon Vineyard in Paso Robles’ Willow Creek District yielded its first harvest in 2025.
Working Schedule:
This part-time role requires flexible hours, primarily Thursday through Monday, including weekends and occasional minor holidays. Scheduling will vary based on tastings, events, outreach, and winery needs. This early-stage role offers room to grow with our established winery.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Manage inventory, samples, and guest logs
•  Use CRM, eCellar, and shared calendars to schedule tastings, enter guest information, and process orders
•  Set up and break down tasting areas for appointments
•  Welcome guests and guide them through the Keplinger story, wines, and vineyard details with genuine hospitality and professionalism
•  Maintain a polished, clean, and guest-ready hospitality environment
•  Develop local relationships along with ownership to support referrals and business growth
•  Drive wine sales, elevated experiences, and ongoing customer relationships

Qualifications:
•  1–3 years in wine hospitality, DTC management, luxury service, or tasting room operations
•  Strong work ethic, self-starter, motivated, ability to work independently
•  Strong wine sales, customer service, and relationship-building skills
•  Genuine passion for wine, people, and personalized guest experiences
•  Wine knowledge required; WSET or CSW certification a plus
•  Proficiency with POS, CRM, and reservation platforms
•  Availability for weekends, holidays, and events as needed
•  Ability to lift 40 lbs. and stand for long period
