Introduction

Are you a positive, inspiring, multitasking, and "can-do" professional? Massanois is seeking a Brand Manager to join our team in our New York City office. This role works closely with senior brand managers and company leadership to build and manage our portfolio of wines and spirits. Depending on your experience, you may also manage select winery relationships directly.

We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of the U.S. wine and spirits market and the three-tier system: how imported and domestic wines move from origin to point of sale. You should be commercially minded, detail-oriented, and skilled in analyzing data, building pricing models, and supporting both business development and sales initiatives. Experience in sales, particularly with established key account relationships, is a plus.

Responsibilities
In collaboration with senior brand managers and ownership, you will:
* Support sourcing of new wines and spirits from category identification through onboarding and launch
* Support brand and portfolio sales through pricing, promotion, education, and local, regional, and national account sales support
* Run and analyze sales and depletion reports to highlight opportunities and challenges; communicate these internally, with distribution partners, and with suppliers
* Assist with inventory management and long-term purchasing forecasts
* Manage supplier marketing budgets
* Support business development and the national sales team in targeting and closing new accounts
* Record and distribute detailed supplier meeting notes, following up diligently on action items
* Contribute to sales pitches, presentations, content, and educational materials
* Manage POS materials and sample distribution, including sample shipments to press contacts
* Support the brand managers and the Trade Events & Hospitality Manager so that samples, pricing materials, and other physical materials are where they need to be, when they are needed, for press and critics, events, and travel programs
* Attend trade tastings in the NY Metro area and around the country (e.g., James Suckling, Wine Spectator Wine Experience) and our road shows to pour wines for guests
Plus: personally drive sales through direct key account work and collaboration with sales teams

About You
* Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and producers
* Strong analytical skills; highly proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
* Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple priorities with composure
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills: clear, concise, and professional
* Comfortable presenting in person and creating compelling presentations
* Proficient tasting skills; able to participate in internal and external tastings
* Willing to support trade tasting events both locally and in other markets
* Able to type quickly and capture detailed, accurate meeting notes (with AI tools as needed)
* Able to lift 40 lbs. (everyone at Massanois pitches in with wine shipments at times)

Requirements
* 3+ years of experience with a wine importer, distributor, or retailer
* 2+ years of sales experience with a wine importer, distributor, or retailer
* Strong knowledge of and passion for wine and spirits
* Experience with inventory management and purchasing
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
* Strong set of key account relationships and desire to maintain direct sales involvement

Nice to Have
* Salesforce experience and familiarity with technology
