The Solos Key Account Manager is responsible for driving business growth and ensuring a best-in-class customer experience across Solos' US operations. The role combines proactive business development with hands-on account and customer service management, serving as the primary point of contact for wineries, breweries, and beverage producers engaging with Solos' aroma capture and dealcoholization technologies.
The successful candidate combines strong commercial drive with a customer-first mindset, and is comfortable engaging with winemakers, production teams, procurement professionals, and senior leadership across the US No/Low alcohol beverage market.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the wine, spirits, beer, and beverage industries across the US.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and strategic accounts.
- Generate leads through networking, industry events, trade fairs, and market intelligence.
- Conduct customer visits, calls, and presentations to showcase Solos' technologies and services.
Customer Service & Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing US customers, ensuring a responsive and positive customer experience.
- Manage customer onboarding, orders, and service requests from initial inquiry through fulfillment.
- Resolve customer issues and escalations promptly, coordinating with technical, production, and operations teams as needed.
- Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers and champion customer retention.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation and closing.
Order & Project Coordination
- Coordinate customer projects and service scheduling with technical, production, and logistics teams.
- Track order status and ensure timely delivery and proactive communication with customers.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and account status.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and regulatory developments in the US No/Low alcohol segment.
- Provide regular market feedback to support product innovation and business strategy.
- Identify emerging opportunities within the US market.
Reporting & Planning
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales/service forecasts.
- Prepare regular sales and customer service reports, pipeline reviews, and business development updates.
- Contribute to annual sales planning and strategic growth initiatives for the US market.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Technology, Beverage Technology, Enology, Brewing Science, or a related field.
- Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- 3-7+ years of B2B sales and customer service experience in beverages, ingredients, flavors, food technology, wine, brewing, or related industries, including experience selling into retail chains.
- Proven track record in business development, account management, and customer service.
- Experience with retail chain sales, including private label / white label product programs with large retailers, is a strong plus.
