We have an exciting opportunity for a Bottling Line Operator to join the Argyle Winery Packaging team! Reporting to the Bottling Line Manager, this role supports the Bottling Line Manager in the day-to-day operation of the bottling and disgorging lines. This includes operating, cleaning and maintaining the bottling line, forklifting, daily production counts, as well as warehouse duties such as shipping/receiving, organization, and cleaning. As needed, this role will also assist with harvest related duties. This role is based in Newberg, OR and is a full-time, non-exempt position working Monday-Friday with schedule flexibility during disgorging and harvest periods. Minimum Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with wine equipment and processes
- Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus
-Forklift experience, or ability to learn
- Wine production and process, including sparkling, is desired
- Knowledge of bottling machinery
- Attention to detail
- Logical reasoning and analytical ability
- Self-Motivated and strong work-ethic
- Problem solver and quick learner
- Good communications skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
- Ability to stand and move for multiple hours a day
- Must be able to provide U.S. Work Authorization without current or future sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in operation of equipment at high efficiency to complete and exceed key production targets
- Work closely with Bottling Line Manager on day-to-day line operation including minor machine adjustments, preventative maintenance, forklifting, cleaning, and troubleshooting
- Assist the Bottling Manager by adhering to the Production Calendar and maintain accuracy in daily case counts
- Support a team of 4-8 production staff and train temps/interns on safe operation of equipment
- Help record quality control data to ensure we produce the best products possible
- Create a safe work environment for all employees by encouraging a mindful approach to personal safety and risk assessment
- Warehouse work including shipping/receiving, cleaning, inventory management, and organizing.
- Assist in additional winery operations, fork-lifting, cellar work, etc.
