Assistant Tasting Room Manager

Position Overview
Chapelton Vineyards is seeking an Assistant Tasting Room Manager to support daily tasting room operations and help deliver warm, polished, and memorable guest experiences. This role works closely with the Tasting Room Manager, hospitality team, and winery leadership to ensure the tasting room is prepared, staffed, and operating smoothly while representing the Chapelton Vineyards brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.
Key Responsibilities
•  Assist with opening, closing, and day-to-day tasting room operations.
•  Support tasting room staff by modeling excellent hospitality, guest engagement, and wine service standards.
•  Lead wine tastings and communicate the story, wines, and guest experience philosophy of Chapelton Vineyards.
•  Help monitor reservations, walk-in traffic, special requests, VIP guests, and member visits to ensure smooth service flow.
•  Assist with staff assignments, shift support, and on-the-floor coaching during service.
•  Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and secure tasting room environment.
•  Support tasting room inventory processes, including tracking bottles poured, sold, restocked, and transferred as needed.
•  Ensure compliance with company policies, sanitation expectations, alcohol service requirements, and food and beverage service standards.
•  Assist with on-site events, wine club pick-up experiences, and other hospitality initiatives.
•  Communicate guest feedback, operational needs, and improvement opportunities to management.
Qualifications
•  Prior hospitality, tasting room, restaurant, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
•  Interest in wine, Texas wine, hospitality, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
•  Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional, and service-focused approach.
•  Ability to support and motivate a team in a fast-paced guest-facing environment.
•  Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
•  Comfortable using reservation, point-of-sale, inventory, or related systems; willingness to learn new tools.
•  Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40–50 pounds as needed.
•  Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule based on business needs.
•  Must meet all legal requirements for alcohol service in Texas.
