Sales Manager

Curated Wine Group, a family owned fine wine distributor and importer headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, and serving both North and South Carolina, is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to join our growing team.

In this role, you will oversee the entire South Carolina sales team with full responsibility for both on and off premise accounts and with both wine and spirits sales. The ideal candidate is analytical, deeply knowledgeable about fine wine, goal driven, and capable of motivating a team of sales professionals to achieve the company’s strategic and commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Management
•  Management of sales team, setting clear goals and providing coaching to help them excel.
•  Professional development of team, encompassing both wine knowledge and sales skills.
•  Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
•  Represent the company at trade shows, wine dinners, and industry events.
•  Actively engage customers to further enhance company’s market presence.

Analytics & Market Execution
•  Conduct regular sales data analysis to improve performance and guide decision making.
•  Work closely with portfolio management to achieve and exceed agreed upon goals of each supplier relationship.
•  Actively monitoring the market to identify new customer or product opportunities.
•  Participate in leadership team meetings to provide insight into sales territory and general industry.

Qualifications
•  Minimum of seven years of experience in the fine wine industry at the wholesale or importer level, with minimum of three years as a sales team manager.
•  Strong knowledge and passion for both domestic and international wine.
•  Self motivated, energetic, and eager to continue growing professionally.
•  Excellent sales, analytical, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
•  Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis.
•  Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
•  Position is located in Charleston, South Carolina.
•  Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to lift 40 lbs (standard case of wine).
