Title: Estate Operations Assistant
Reports To: DTC Manager
Type: Full-Time | Seasonal September 11, 2026- January 4, 2027
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, hospitality-driven Estate Operations Assistant to support daily tasting room operations, ensure seamless behind-the-scenes execution, and assist with customer service needs. This role is central to maintaining our elevated guest experience by balancing polished front-facing hospitality with strong operational coordination.
The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, takes initiative, and brings a warm, professional presence to both internal teams and visiting guests.
Key Responsibilities
Back-of-House (BOH) Operations
• Daily BOH functions, including:
o Tasting setup, breakdown, and site preparation
o Assist with all opening and closing operations, including basic housekeeping
o Assigning tasting locations and supporting same-day reservation adjustments
o Welcoming guests as they arrive, and maintaining a warm, approachable presence on the property
o Restocking wine refrigerators and tasting supplies as needed
• Work closely with the DTC Manager and Sales team to support guest needs, last-minute changes, and special requests.
• Manage supply levels for tastings and BOH operations.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness throughout BOH and winery spaces, including assisting with a weekly deep clean.
• Step in to support all aspects of hospitality operations with a positive, team-first attitude.
Hospitality & Customer Service Support
• Assist with supporting sales opportunities by helping maintain a seamless guest flow.
• Support customer service needs, including order pickups, same-day guest requests, and service adjustments.
• Support the Shipping and Logistics Coordinator with inventory projects as needed.
Event Support
• Assist DTC Manager with winery events, both winery-hosted and private client events.
• Oversee vendor arrivals, setup and breakdown flow, and day-of operational execution.
• Track and document wine usage during events, including bottles poured, opened, and returned.
• Ensure polished, guest-ready environments and impeccable service standards throughout the event.
• Assist with post-event cleanup and resetting spaces for the following day’s operations.
Qualifications
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• A proactive, positive communicator who approaches challenges with solutions.
• Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, carry trays or cases of wine, and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Weekends required (Days off: Wednesdays and Thursdays)
• Previous back-of-house, hospitality, or tasting room experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
Compensation
• Hourly pay: $21-$24, based on experience
