Job Description: Wine-Tender & Retail Support Staff: PT Position +/- 25 Hrs per Week
Job Summary: The primary role is to promote sales and ensure positive customer experiences. This hybrid position combines front-of-house hospitality with back-of-house operational support. The ideal candidate blends food and beverage experience with a passion for wine culture. This role requires availability for prime weekend shifts, specifically Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
Key Objectives:
• Directed Tastings: Lead guests through curated wine flights and educational pours at the wine bar.
• Tasting Room Service: Deliver exceptional, welcoming hospitality to guests visiting the tasting room.
• Store Customer Service: Greet, guide, and assist customers browsing the retail floor.
Daily Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional customer service and sales support across the bar and retail floor.
• Conduct directed tastings and articulate wine profiles, pairings, and stories to guests.
• Process orders efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Assist in maintaining floor visual standards.
• Open and close the tasting room during designated Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening shifts.
Requirements:
• Over 21.
• Valid Driver’s License; Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record; Proof of Insurance; Background Check.
• Minimum 1 year in hospitality, food/beverage and/or retail preferred.
• Knowledge of wine products and the wine industry required.
Qualifications & Core Competencies:
• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to engage guests and collaborate with staff.
• Organization: Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to multitask daily.
