The Southern California Key Accounts Manager is responsible for achieving maximum sales potential with their assigned current and target Key Accounts in their region. The position identifies and responds to opportunities that build and enhance brand equity in the market in the long term, as well as maximize sales in the short and long term. This position must uphold the integrity of the company by following its guidelines and meeting its expectations, goals, and mission. Key accounts are defined as large, regional, multi-outlet accounts including on and off-premise and e-commerce business. The account list may include other high-profile accounts, and is assigned by the Southern California Key Accounts Director
What we will ask you to do:
• Achieves budgeted sales goals through current Key Accounts and new Key Accounts.
• Increases market demand and acceptance through targeting and opening of new accounts, increasing sales to existing accounts, development of account bases, and working directly with top accounts in each market.
• Stays alert to customer and sales trends that may indicate the company’s need to adjust go to market strategies.
• Stays active in the wine community through frequent and positive networking with industry peers and key accounts.
• Works with the Key Accounts Director to develop and implement specific strategies in the market.
• Recommends and implements decisions based on results of analysis that enhance the equity of the brand based on results of analysis.
• Supports in-market events and tastings for both consumer and trade.
• Fulfills RFP opportunities to regional accounts.
What you will need:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in wine industry.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent analytical, organization, and planning skills.
• Technology capable, computer skills including Microsoft Suite and CRM systems.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Must possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state car registration, insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
