Director of Sales Operations

Summary/Overview

The Director of Sales will play a pivotal role in driving Wholesale and direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales, cultivating collector relationships, and representing the brand across markets. Working closely with the President, this individual will be instrumental in executing strategic initiatives, building the collector list, and ensuring excellence across all customer touchpoints. This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role with long-term growth potential.

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Specific functions identified for the role in which any person who holds this position could be measured in their performance.
* Achieve assigned Wholesale and DTC sales goals and report weekly metrics.
* Build and maintain a robust referral network; track and report activities.
* Enrich collector profiles with detailed customer data for future optimization.
* Represent SFE at tastings, auctions, and collector events outside Napa Valley.
* Host private tastings converting tastings into sales.
* Support wholesale channel growth and represent SFE in market as needed.
* Collaborate on strategic sales planning and contribute to long-term brand development.

Required Education and Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
* Proven experience in brand building, customer acquisition, and relationship management.
* Strong sales acumen with a focus on high-touch, long-term relationship building.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency with CRM, POS, and CMS systems.
* Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Passion for wine and deep interest in the wine industry.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with disciplined execution.
* Positive, collaborative, and adaptable attitude
