Position: Marketing Specialist

Objective: The MS is responsible for 1) supporting the execution of in-house initiatives for Paul Hobbs Wines (PHW),
2) coordinating with the maintenance and distribution of trade marketing materials, and 3) assisting with social media, web content, and analytics. Associate Brand Manager (ABM) is back up.

Examples of responsibilities (not limited to those listed below):
1. Brand support:
a. Manages daily logistics & department upkeep (i.e., sample sends, inventory management, etc.).
b. Communicates, records, and tracks media hits & samples.
c. Serves as main contact for all promotional material requests.

2. Sales and marketing administration:
a. Leads travel itineraries for all PHW and PHS principals.
b. Supports the design, production, and management of portfolio assets and marketing collateral.
c. Coordinates consumer and trade events and acts as brand ambassador at tastings, shows, and other events.
d. Supports critics tastings and related marketing initiatives.

3. Digital:
a. Creates monthly internal newsletter.
b. Supports website updates, social media content, and PR initiatives.
c. Pulls and reports metrics for all digital platforms (website, Google, social) monthly.

Specific qualifications & skills:
1. Marketing: Experience in luxury wine marketing; proven track record with digital design & platforms.
2. Communication: Communicates in an articulate, concise, and intuitive manner. Strong writing and editing skills.
3. Business: Highly organized; keen eye for detail. Able to manage inventories, track program success, etc.
4. Wine service & knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of wine including history, making, commercialization. A master at protocols and procedures of fine wine service (i.e., wine dinners, shows, seminars, various tastings, etc.)
5. Attitude: Positive, considerate, creative, professional demeanor.

Job requirements
1. Minimum bachelor’s degree, marketing, business, or communications emphasis preferred.
2. Minimum of 1-2 years in a marketing or sales role, preferably in a luxury wine.
3. Proficient in Word, Excel, PPT, and all Adobe creative suites.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs., or a 9L case of wine.
