The Tasting Room at Irvine & Roberts Vineyards has become one of Ashland’s busiest attractions.

We are looking for the right leader to perform the critical role of executing the sales and coordination of our Wine Club Member Subscriptions, Events, E-Commerce & Digital Strategies. This role assists the Hospitality Manager in ensuring proper coordination of a calendar-driven execution practice.

He or she would see the opportunity to branch out to join a team that is motivated to make, share and celebrate authentically great wines in a new place instead of good wines in a well-known place.

Our ideal candidate would be a passionate, charismatic and independent professional with a proven track record of modeling brand advocacy with club members and daily guests. He or she would have excellent planning skills and is goal oriented to deliver key results to grow these critical pieces of our overall DTC business.

Core Accountabilities:

•  Manage and grow the IRV Wine Club.
o Create all aspects of successful club fulfillment, including but not limited to club build, club shipments, compliance, correspondence, and event creation
o Coordinate efforts of the tasting room staff to assist with this sales channel
o Create a marketing plan to consistently engage club members
o Maintain all required collateral, packing and shipping materials for shipments
o Implement and execute member correspondence, addressing all issues and requests
o Comprehension of conversion rates and status of the business vs monthly goals.
o Demonstrate thought leadership on acquisition and retention strategies with the hospitality manager
o Schedule and execute all club member pick up parties and events, with the assistance of the tasting room team, providing personal presence at all events
o Develop strategy and execute member programs to maximize member revenue outside of scheduled shipments
o Timely execution of all annual wine shipments in accord with the Annual Brand Plan
•  Events
o Manage all event inquiries
o Actively seek out opportunities for private events
o Provide support to ensure the success of all onsite DTC events
•  Digital Marketing
o Manage all company-wide marketing efforts
o Create an annual marketing plan and calendar to support the goals of the Annual Brand Plan
o Continually work to create effective, innovative and engaging emails
o Create on brand, relevant, visually appealing and accurate physical marketing materials for the tasting room and outside uses
o Maintain Google, Yelp and other online platforms to ensure operating hours and business details stayed current
o Responsible for all outbound, monthly newsletter and e-commerce campaigns to the full database
o Fulfill all inbound web sales
o Execute focused holiday campaign including establishing a creative brief, proposing packages, catalog design, and focused timelines
o Ensure that website is continually updated with current and accurate information for new releases and promotions and
o Oversight and collaboration of all social media platforms – Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, in accord with brand standards, plan and calendar
o Create tasting notes, tech sheets, collateral and marketing materials for all new releases

Experience
•  2+ years of Tasting room, restaurant hospitality and/or DTC sales management & marketing experience required
•  Experience in event planning, execution of fine wine programming
•  Proven verbal, written and presentation communication skills
•  Skilled at collaboration and achieving through partnership and team play
•  Technical Experience
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
•  Administrative Proficiency in effective winery/beverage POS systems (e.g., Commerce7, VinoShipper, Tock, etc.)
•  Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho etc.)
•  Administrative proficiency in HTML oriented e-commerce and communication platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, etc.)
•  Proficiency in web-based remote meeting and communication platforms

Knowledge
•  Comprehension of the U.S. wine industry and the commercial landscape of Oregon wineries within it across multiple channels, markets, distributors and customers
•  Comprehension of the most up to date hospitality principles and metrics of DTC channels (e- commerce, tasting room and wine club subscription subchannels)
•  Comprehension of State-by-State shipping compliance & regulatory landscape
•  Passion and acumen for fine wine, the history and practice of winegrowing and winemaking across different wine varietals, regions and styles
•  Combination of education and experience; preferably in business related and wine hospitality discipline. Extra consideration given to candidates with third party wine education accreditation (e.g., WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, ISG)
