Scenic Valley Farms is a small winery on a big farm. We make about 4,000 cases per year. Our Assistant Winemaker had to step away for medical reasons, so we are looking for someone to fill that role before harvest.
Our ideal candidate is someone that has worked a few harvests, maybe a few years in the cellar or vineyard, and is ready to take the next step. Winemaking education is appreciated but not necessary. If you have a side project making a couple tons of your own wine, that’s fine.
For skills, we would like you to do the basics: run a pump, wash barrels, drive a forklift. Bonus points if you can run a filter, set up a bottling line, and rack with Nitrogen. You should be comfortable working in the cellar by yourself, but help is always available. We’d like you to be bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience selling wine is a bonus. Lack of skills will be overlooked if you have a good attitude and you’re willing to learn. Or if you love cleaning.
Opportunities for growth. Flexible hours. Resources for Continuing Education. I hope this is the job you’ve been looking for, and I hope you’re the winemaker we’ve been looking for.
