Job Description:

Goose Ridge Vineyards is seeking a full-time Lab Technician to join our team operating a high-volume production laboratory.
We are looking for someone who understands that accurate lab work supports the entire winemaking team. The right candidate is dependable, curious, and willing to help where needed. This role is a great fit for someone who takes pride in careful work, communicates clearly, asks good questions, and stays positive during the fast pace of harvest.

Responsibilities include:
•  Performing daily analysis on juice and wine samples
•  Using a variety of manual and automated laboratory methods
•  Following standard operating procedures and laboratory safety protocols
•  Processing and testing vineyard grape samples for ripeness
•  Assisting with setup for tastings, trials, and bench work
•  Maintaining laboratory instruments, equipment, and testing systems
•  Recording results accurately and completing data entry in a timely manner
•  Keeping the laboratory clean, organized, and ready for daily workflow
•  Supporting winemaking and cellar activities as needed
•  Performing other duties as assigned by the Winemakers or Enologist

Required Skills and Qualifications:
•  Team-oriented approach with a willingness to support coworkers across lab, cellar, and winemaking functions
•  Ability to communicate clearly when results, priorities, or timing change
•  Willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and follow established procedures
•  Positive, professional attitude during busy production periods
•  Strong sense of ownership, dependability, and follow-through
•  Ability to work quickly, accurately, and safely in a production environment
•  Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping
•  Good math, science, and computer skills
•  High school diploma or GED required
•  Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
•  Ability to sit, stand, bend, and work for extended periods of time
•  Ability to use a step stool or ladder as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
•  Previous experience in a production laboratory, winery, cellar, or food/beverage production environment
•  Chemistry, biology, enology, viticulture, or related college coursework or degree
•  Experience with Microsoft Office and laboratory data entry systems

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative production team, understands the importance of reliable information, and takes pride in work that directly supports winemaking decisions.

This is a paid, full-time position working Monday through Thursday. Additional hours, including Fridays, weekends, evenings, and harvest-related overtime, may be required during the grape harvest season or for special production needs.

Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay range is from $19 - $23 per hour depending on level of experience.
