Part-Time Tasting Room Associate

We are looking for a part- time tasting room associate to join our super fun and outgoing team!

Location: Tasting Notes Wine Lounge Collective, Downtown Windsor, CA
Home to J. Cage Cellars and Oak Tree Wineries
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage + tips + Club bonuses
Schedule: Flexible part-time hours, including evenings & weekends

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic and personable Tasting Room Associate to join our small but fun team! This role requires someone who thrives on hospitality, enjoys educating guests about wine and can confidently run the tasting room with warmth and professionalism. We’re looking for a passionate wine enthusiast to offer outstanding tasting experiences for our guests while selling wines and converting club memberships.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Engage with customers, ensuring an exceptional experience from start to finish
while representing both J. Cage and Oak Tree wines with equal enthusiasm and conviction
•  Guide guests through tastings, sharing insights about wines, winery stories, vineyards and pairings
•  Present and encourage wine club participation to all guests
•  Gather customer contact and background information then entering into POS.
•  Maintain a clean, inviting, organized, and polished tasting room environment and back of house areas
•  Manage wine inventory, restocking as needed, and alerting management of low stock
•  Process transactions efficiently and accurately on POS Systems
•  Assist with events and special tastings
•  Print collateral material, such as price sheets and custom menus, including assembly as necessary
•  Be responsible for opening and closing protocols.
•  Adhere to safety regulations and policies; report any potential safety issues to supervisor

Qualifications:
•  1+ year of experience in hospitality, wine service, or bartending (but we’ll train the right person!)
•  Familiarity with Commerce7 and VinoShipper is a plus
•  Passion for wine, eager to learn and educate others
•  Be Driven to sell, grow and improve
•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills
•  Ability to work independently and multitask with ease
•  Professional, friendly demeanor that aligns with our welcoming atmosphere
•  Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in California (21+)
•  Certification in responsible alcohol service (RBS) is a plus
•  Must be able to left and carry 50 LBS.
•  Applicants must be willing to consent to a background check.
