National Chain Account Specialist / Consultant
A fast-growing California winery is seeking an experienced National Chain Account Specialist to help expand and manage chain business across the U.S.
This role can be based anywhere and may be structured as a consultant, fractional role, or full-time position depending on experience and fit.
The ideal candidate has strong existing relationships with national and regional chain buyers, understands distributor networks, and has proven experience opening and growing chain retail, grocery, club, restaurant, and hospitality accounts.
Responsibilities include:
-Develop and execute a national chain account strategy
Identify and pursue opportunities with key chain buyers
Work closely with distributor partners across multiple markets
-Present wines, pricing, programming, and promotional opportunities
-Support new item submissions, resets, reviews, and follow-up
-Track account activity, placements, velocity, and depletion opportunities
-Help build long-term chain growth for a growing California wine portfolio
Ideal experience:
-Proven wine or beverage alcohol chain sales experience
-Existing relationships with national or regional chain buyers
-Strong understanding of distributor management
-Experience with grocery, club, retail, restaurant, or hospitality chains
-Self-starter who can work independently from anywhere in the U.S.
-Strong communication, follow-up, and presentation skills
-Compensation is flexible and may include consulting fees, base compensation, commission, performance incentives, or a hybrid structure depending on the candidate.
-Interested candidates should have direct chain account experience and a track record of building placements at scale.
