POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Vineyard Manager to oversee all aspects of vineyard and land maintenance operations at Solena Estate. This hands-on role reports directly to the company owner, and is responsible for the health, productivity, and quality of our vines from dormancy through harvest, all guided by biodynamic farming practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Viticulture & Biodynamic Farming
- Plan and execute all seasonal vineyard operations including pruning, training, canopy management, and harvest in accordance with biodynamic principles
- Prepare and apply biodynamic preparations (BD 500–508) and manage the biodynamic calendar for field work timing
- Develop and implement spray programs using approved biodynamic and organic inputs
- Manage cover crops, compost, and soil health programs to support a living, balanced ecosystem
- Monitor vine health, soil conditions, and irrigation systems to optimize fruit quality
- Maintain detailed vineyard records including spray logs, yields, and labor hours
Equipment & Facilities
- Operate tractors and vineyard equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance and coordinate repairs on all farm machinery and equipment
- Oversee upkeep of vineyard infrastructure including irrigation, trellising, and roads
- Supervise and work alongside a facilities and landscape technician
Team & Administration
- Report directly to the company owner, collaborating closely on farming and fruit quality goals
- Direct and schedule vineyard labor throughout the season
- Manage relationships with vendors and contractors
- Align all farming decisions with the estate's biodynamic philosophy and winemaking vision

QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in vineyard management or viticulture operations
- Experience with biodynamic, organic, or regenerative farming practices strongly preferred
- Ability to operate tractors and a variety of farm equipment
- Familiarity with Pacific Northwest growing conditions and cool-climate varieties (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc experience preferred)
- Knowledge of spray applications and Oregon agricultural regulations within a biodynamic/organic framework
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical labor
