Job Description:

Alloro Vineyard, a boutique producer of premium wines, seeks two individuals to collaborate with our winemaking team in crafting our distinctive wines for the 2026 vintage. The ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude, strong work ethic, is reliable, a quick learner, has attention to detail, and a passion for wine. As a member of the winemaking team, the Alloro Harvest Intern will engage in every aspect of the harvest, providing an immersive and comprehensive wine production educational experience.

Responsibilities:

- Cleaning: thorough cleaning of all harvest equipment including; bins, tanks, press, and sorting equipment. Daily cleaning and maintenance of the winery space and crush pad.
- Cap Management: daily pump-overs and punch-downs on fermenters.
- Fermentation: monitoring sugar and temperature on each fermenter.
- Barrels: barrel prep, lifting, washing and filling wine barrels.
- Fruit: sorting, sampling, stomping and lab analysis.

Position Requirements:

- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Full availability from the commencement date (Early September - exact date TBD) until harvest completion (Early November - exact date TBD).
- Available to work 9-12 hours per day, 6-7 days per week.
- Ability to arrive at the winery between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM each day.
- Transportation to and from the winery.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Ability to climb and stand on tall ladders safely.

Compensation:

$24.00 per hour plus time and a half for overtime (over 40 hours per week). Family meal lunch provided on pick days.
