The Marketing Specialist will assist with the development, design, and implementation of sales and marketing strategies to promote the brand’s story, cultivate and maintain lasting relationships, and provide exceptional guest experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the development and implementation of long-term marketing strategies to promote the brand, wineries, lodging properties, and events.
Assist with the conceptualization, design, and execution of marketing initiatives including event marketing, digital marketing, and direct to consumer marketing.
Design and execute email campaigns, newsletters, and press releases from start to finish: concept, copy, visuals, and delivery, keeping timelines and focusing on building brand awareness, event promotion, and information sharing.
Support organization of the email calendar—collaborating with DTC Sales Managers on promotions, following up on campaign details, due dates, and approvals, making sure designs and all other items stay on schedule.
Develop, execute, and manage SMS campaigns including offer creation and audience identification.
Plan, create, and schedule compelling and on brand social media posts.
Assist with management and oversight of social media for WAW accounts.
Monitor and analyze campaign, website, and social media performance data.
Utilize performance and sales data to identify and promote most effective seasonal timelines to market products.
Support the development, creation, & ordering of printed materials.
Ensure brand standards are consistently communicated and maintained across all marketing channels and materials.
Collaborate and support Lodging and DTC sales teams on sales and marketing initiatives.
Maintain excellent communication and partnership with Lodging and DTC teams.
Monitor and respond to customer inquiries, suggestions, or complaints.
Assist with order management- process orders made via phone, email, text, provide order updates and tracking info, and handle process refunds or adjustments.
Coordinate with the Inventory & Logistics team and DTC Sales Managers on campaigns.
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of company events.
Attend onsite and offsite events to help promote and represent the brand.
Receptive to feedback and communicates in a constructive manner.
Support revenue goals, budgeting, and cost control initiatives.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Minimum two years of experience as a Marketing Specialist or similar role in the wine industry.
Strong writing and proofreading skills.
Intermediate to advanced skill in graphic design.
Able to organize and manage multiple sales campaign designs and projects simultaneously.
Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms, web and social media management, and event development and execution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and confidently with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
Strong interpersonal awareness and relationship management skills; able to maintain excellent working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
Able to resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
Self-directed, motivated, and able to work with little direction or supervision.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple projects; excellent follow-up and follow through.
Able to occasionally work weekends, holidays, events, and extended hours.
Able to travel locally to and from multiple company locations.
Must have and maintain a valid, class C driver’s license, a reliable, insured method of transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in business marketing, graphic design preferred.
Minimum of two or more years of successful, related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Fully proficient in the English language in both oral and written formats (speak, read, write, text, type) required.
Able to communicate in a professional and effective manner at all times in both oral and written formats.
Ability to professionally and effectively respond to inquiries, comments, or complaints from internal or external customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Able to identify & resolve discrepancies.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency Microsoft Office Suite, Nexternal, Constant Contact, Red Chirp, Social Media Platforms, and graphic design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly working in a combination of environments, including a tasting room, office, and outdoor areas, exposed to varying temperatures and conditions.Traveling to other company properties and working at off-site events is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Employee is regularly required to use hands, fingers, and arms to lift/carry/move/stack, grasp, reach, lower, open, and close. Must be able to operate standard office equipment, read, write, type, smell, taste, see, listen/hear, and speak. The employee is required to sit, stand, move, and walk for prolonged periods of time. Employee must be able to squat, lift, move, carry and stack 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, climb stairs, set up/break down tables, chairs.
